Welcome to Greystone Our History Upcoming Events
A Message from the Owner:

I have found that owning this business has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, being able to share with these people the personality and history of each and every one is fascinating.

We at Greystone care about our residents and strive to know each one individually, with the hope of keeping them happy and to maintain their health for as long as possible.

Greystone was originally an elementary high school built in the 1940's from limestone mined in local quarries. It is one of the strongest and safest buildings in Mercer County. Its structure contains stone that is over 1 foot thick. It was used as a fallout shelter.

The building was purchased in 1994 from the Reynolds School District by the current owner J.R. Powell.  After 2 million dollars in renovations it opened in 1996 as Greystone Country Estates, Assisted Living for the Elderly.

In 1999 the second phase of Greystone was opened with its Independent Living Condos.
